What are your discoveries this week as you journal and reflect on Monday night's discussion?

African Women....

Here are some pictures from my trips to Rwanda.  I spoke about the women there this week, I am so drawn to them.  I have observed the way they openly and happily celebrate life through song and dance.  They are not self conscious of their bodies and can be so open about showing joy in the moment.  It is ironic that women who have so much less than we do can be so uninhibited.  I have allowed myself to accept unreasonable expectations of my body and be in a constant state of punishment and unhappiness with myself, no matter what I have accomplished in life.  I am ready for the journey and look forward to sharing with the group!
